Bride & Groom can download a marriage Certificate from https://www.alabamapublichealth.gov/vitalrecords/marriage-certificates.html
Bride & Groom must have a valid photo ID such as driver's license, state identification, government military card, or a passport.
A social security number is required to obtain a marriage license.
If either party was previously married and divorced, the date of the divorce will be required. If the date of the divorce was within thirty days prior to the new application for a marriage certificate, a certified copy of the recorded final order will be required.
There is no waiting period once the marriage certificate is notarized the marriage is legal.

If you are an out of state resident you may obtain your Alabama Marriage Certificate online and have it notarized in front of an Alabama notary.
